Privacy Policy

How Pianoland collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

Last updated: May 2026

Who we are

Pianoland is a private piano school based in Cork, Ireland, operated as a sole trader by Iuliia Sufan. We are the data controller for any personal data you provide to us.

You can reach us at info@pianoland.ie.

What we collect and why

Lesson enquiries

When you submit a lesson enquiry form, we collect your name, contact details (email and/or phone), student age group, preferred location, and any notes you include. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and arrange a first lesson.

Event tickets

When you purchase a ticket for a Pianoland event, your name and email address are collected via Stripe's secure checkout and passed to us for ticket issuance. We use this information to send you your ticket and manage event entry. All payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This tool is cookieless and does not collect any personally identifiable information. No consent banner is required.

How long we keep your data

  • Lesson enquiry data — up to 12 months from submission, or sooner if you ask us to delete it.
  • Ticket and purchase records — 7 years, as required by Irish Revenue regulations.
  • Analytics data — aggregated only; no personal data is retained.

Where your data is stored

Enquiry and ticket data is stored in Cloudflare D1, a managed database service hosted on EU infrastructure. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1 standards.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set technical cookies necessary for site security and performance. No consent is required for these.

Your rights under GDPR

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data, where no legal obligation requires us to keep it.
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@pianoland.ie. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission Ireland.
